VINTAGE MALING LUSTRE WARE LARGE GREEN OVAL FRUIT BOWL / DISH. Made by Maling in Newcastle-On-Tyne between 1949 and 1963. In good condition.  There is some faint crazing to the glaze underneath consistent with age, and some rubbing to the gilt line, Rosalind design in rarely available green colourway. Oval in shape. Green lustre finish of overlapping circles with nice glossy glaze. Gilt line around rim. Extended embossed handles with gilt decoration.  Ribbed design on back of handles. Large panel inside bowl of pink roses, plus other flowers and foliage.  Similar panels on the outside. Printed underneath in brown with a castle symbol surrounded by a circle and:  MALING    ESTD. 1762    NEWCASTLE-ON TYNE    ENGLAND.    ROSALIND.   Handpainted underneath in blue with:  6545.
