A rare survival from the mid 18thc is this superb leather fire bucket ....it is in original condition with a natural patina to the leather and it has a sturdy copper rim and rivets that join the bucket down the side and around the base . very collectable buckets were filled with sand . each bu Eket wasealed with pitch , waxes and oils and often marked so that it could be checked who helped with the fire and to whom they belonged to.
