C & E VICTORIA CHINA TWIN HANDLED CAKE PLATE
A most appealing vintage earred cake plate. It features a beautiful art nouveau design of scrolls, swags & flowers, in a most attractive turquoise green/blue colour; this makes quite a dramatic contrast against the white background. Gilt finishes the edge. The maker's name is not evident, however it comes from a set bearing the name C & E Victoria, made in England.
In good vintage condition; no cracks, chips, crazing or restoration; the colours & glaze are lovely & bright, the gilt does show age related wear & it does have the odd firing spec, which are to be expected; all commensurate with age & adds depth of character. A lovely collectable as you can see!
Measures approximately: 23.75cm high x 22.5cm.
