Very Rare Sevres 1846 Cheateau des Tuileries France Porcelain Plate Cherubs with Louis Philippe initials and royal crown.

DESCRIPTION: Sevres porcelain plate featuring transferred images of puttos seated with writing implements in clouds framed by a ring of floral motifs. Embellished with gilt accents around lip. Marked on underside: "S.46.", "SEVRES 1846", "CHATEAU DES TUILERIES", and "France".

CIRCA: Mid-19th to early 20th Century

“Not sure if this item is still part of the original order commissioned by a Monarch (meaning kings or the emperor’s, such as Napoleon I, Louis Philippe, Napoleon III, etc) or the augmented part of the royal order, or a later copy made in 19th or 20th centuries, but either way even if and when it is just Sevres “Style” they still are rare pieces of porcelain art. This note is going to be added to all listings even if and when I am 100 % sure they are original ones. Now it is up to a potential buyer to investigate before purchasing and making their own informed decision. Meanwhile, please feel free to share your options and negotiate price by sending me your best offers but be assured that no one can intimidate me to reduce a price on any original or potentially not original items in a rude way.”
