Many thanks for your interest in my book. It is a vividly powerful and absorbing biography of RAF rear gunner, Trevor Bowyer DFC during WW2, told with both sensitivity and humour.
A fabulous present for anyone interested in Bomber Command to which the author will happily add your own personal message at no extra cost which will make this a unique personal present for either yourself or someone else.
It includes accounts from some of Trevor's contemporaries including Marshal of the Royal Air Force, Sir Michael Beetham, himself a WW2 bomber pilot and survivor of the ill-fated Nuremburg raid.
The book has taken me two years to research and is lavishly illustrated throughout the text. Trevor's story embraces his childhood and early career on the Travelling Post Office in the 1930's, his life in London during the Blitz and his decision to volunteer for Bomber Command air crew.
Sent on the first two 1000 bomber raids, he later cheated death when his turret was riddled by cannon fire. Shot down over the North African desert, for three days he walked through enemy lines to reach his Squadron. After 39 missions he was posted back to Britain for his second tour on Lancasters with 61 Squadron flying from Lincolnshire into the heavily defended heartland of Germany, where night fighters relentlessly stalked the bomber stream every mile across occupied Europe.
Another Dawn Another Dusk is offered for sale as a signed copy and if requested I would happily add a personal dedication.
