Item:281297700497W Tasker BANBURY Oak Longcase clock 30 Hour.. William Tasker of Bridge Street, Banbury made this Longcase between 1813 and 1853. Mahogany crossbanded Oak case with Swan Neck hood and what looks like the original glass. Replacement lock and key. Case in good but used condition standing at 79 inches ( 201 cm) 30 hour movement Roman numerals and attractive painted face with Thatched Cottage and occupant stood outside.Good overall but a few chips to the face. The "W" for William has been touched up by hand in the past. Minute hand has a solder repair part way along. Runs well and keeps time but sometimes misses its chime. It does chime correctly when triggered by hand with a clear ring to the bell but the movement would benefit from a clean. Please see the photo's as this is a nice looking presentable usable clock that would benefit from a service. CASH on COLLECTION ONLY please from just outside Banbury.
