Vintage Aynsley Bluebell Time Woodland Tea Items:
Four Teacups, Four Saucers, Four Tea Plates; One Cake Serving Plate (or Sandwich)
Lovely warm buttery-rich-cream-pale-yellow base; with a transfer of a Bluebell Wood landscape. The back-stamp was used from 1939+ (1930’s-50’s style)
These were likely kept displayed; since there’s little sign of usage! All clean; all retaining a very healthy ring. One cup (only) has a rim flea-bite-nibble (see last photo; if you’re right handed; it’s behind the handle; away from the sip side) Otherwise all other pieces: No chips; no cracks; no hairlines; no glaze crazing; no pattern loss; practically no cutlery marks; overall very good gold gilt trims.
Please note: Aynsley made this pattern with different shapes; base colours and different rims. If you’re looking to match to existing pieces; please check that you’re happy with this shape and colourway.
