Two 1981 "Silver Trade Unit" rounds--
Minted with silver from the US Strategic Silver Stockpile,
at the US Assay Office in San Francisco
1 ounce of .999 pure silver each! (Two ounces of silver, in total)
Bid on a pair of distinctive collectibles:
These two rounds were each minted by the now defunct Continental Coin mint in 1981.
The logo around the rim of the obverse reads "Minted from U.S. Strategic Stockpile Silver 1981". The center reads "Formerly Stored at U.S. Assay Office San Francisco", followed by the initials CC, for Continental Coin.
The reverse of the rounds depicts a form of the standard American Eagle frequently used on US coinage. The eagle is in right profile, stooping with outstretched wings in front of an American flag. The logo around the rim reads "One Troy Ounce--31.1 Grams/.999 Fine Silver--Silver Trade Unit".
Bid on a timely investment:
The price of silver stands right at $33.30 per ounce as of the initial date of this listing, up $6/ounce since the beginning of the year. (See http://www.amark.com/.)
In the current economic climate, many investors expect it to continue
its climb, to regain or surpass its 2011 high of $48.49/ounce.
Good luck, and thanks for looking AND bidding!
