Description Superb English antique early 19th Century Georgian solid sterling silver tea caddy spoon by the regarded silversmith Samuel Pemberton (1775 - 1811) in excellent clean condition and with English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1808. Lovely quality and a really nice more uncommon model with attractive "tear-drop" bowl and is decorated with a beautiful geometric "Greek-key" engraved border and handle. I t weighs just 9.6 grams and there are no added personal engravings. Looks very little used. One of a small collection of caddy spoons currently being listed.
Measurements 3.2 inches (82mm) in length, the bowl measures 1.95 inches (49mm) x 1.5 inches (37mm) wide.
Date English antique Georgian solid sterling silver with a f ull set of silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1808 (date letter "k"). Nice clear marks, which includes the silver duty stamp of King George the Third and the silversmiths initials are "S P" (Samuel Pemberton - 1775 - 1811).
Condition Excellent clean condition with no splits or repairs, definitely no wear holes, and no knocks or dents, a lovely undamaged antique example and a genuine 216 years old . Very uncommon model with beautiful geometric "Greek key" engraved decoration and it is free from personal inscriptions.
