Beautiful and stunning deep blue “flambe” glaze small vase with decorative ormolu mounts to rim, body and base. The colouring of the glaze makes this vase special, the blues range from flecks of celadon to sky blue and a rich deep blue and internally the vase has a white glaze. The vase was made by Paul Milet for Sevres with an early makers mark to the base of the vase. The mark consists of a circle of dots enclosing the text “MP (over) Sevres”, this is the earliest makers mark and was used up to 1911, dating the piece between 1899 and 1911.
