We present a charming, antique landscape study in watercolours, with sheep grazing in sand dunes along the coastline, probably the County of Kent or Sussex, England.  Signed by the artist with a monogram, EC, EW, EE and dated 1890.  This painting is in the circle of Thomas Sidney Cooper RA (British, 1803 – 1902)  Copper was a prolific painter of landscapes working in watercolours and oils.  He worked with several students who copied his work, to release in their own names or his depending on the client.  Many of these works depicted rural  life in the counties of Kent and Sussex, in southern England, and this painting is a typical example,   The original artist is unknown to us but well worth researching further.  A large body of Cooper’s and related artists’ work is in the Canterbury Art Museum and can also be seen on artprice.com, askart.com, invaluable.com and mutualart.com.     Presented in good overall condition in its original frame, this painting will look fabulous displayed
