This is a piece from the RAF Lancaster Mark 2 (work number DS834) of 115 Squadron.The part is a section of the main engine oil tank still with the bolt holes on the top of it the section has been cut away from a larger part it is 9 inches long by 3 inches deep this part comes with a 5x7 laminated information sheet. with crew details.This piece is in nice solid condition and perfect for display or any collection. The plane was on a bombing raid over Berlin on the 30 December 1943. The plane was shot down by a night fighter and crashed on farmland at Tungelrojj 5km SSE of Weert, Holland.
