Handmade Straw Work Box / Case – Amateur Military Prisoner Of War POW WW2? - Together with a modern straw work plaque I was told that the box was made by a prisoner of war. I don't know what the word means - It could be the makers name or a place name. It looks Russian to me or possibly Polish. (If anybody could shed any light on that I'd love to hear from you). It appears to have '47 at the end but I may be wrong. It is rather crudely made (understandable if the POW link is correct) does have some straw loss - please study the photos. Also included is a straw work plaque that appears to be modern. Measures approximately: 19.5cm Wide 13.5cm Deep 6.5cm High Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any questions
