Item:296318949591Vintage Maling Ceramic Green/Pansies Design Large Flower Bowl/Vase Collectable. *CHARITY AUCTION* This is a vintage large flower bowl/vase from the Maling pottery in England. It is a heavy ceramic. It is oval with a scalloped top rim. Stands on a raised foot. It mostly has the green scales/petals all over. Towards the rim are tube lined, what look like pansy flowers, and all has been hand painted. The inside is pink with a lustre glaze. It also has a gilt rim. It has the makers stamp in black on the base along with 2 wavy lines. It is 30 centimetres long, 16 centimetres tall and 11 centimetres wide. I am told that it dates from the 1930's. It is in good condition for its age, no chips or cracks. There is some crazing to the glaze. On the one side it looks like the lustre is trying to come through the green scales in places. It has a dullish ring but I canni=ot see any hairline cracks so possibly the crazing making it seem like there is. I have scoured the internet but cannot find another of this design so potentially a rare item. This item is being sold for the Hilbrae Rescue Kennels a local charity in Telford. All profits go straight to the kennels that rescues stray and unwanted dogs and re-homes them. Sorry but the postage and packing costs are as such due to the Post Office raising the prices each year plus the costs of materials including, mailing bags, bubble wrap, boxes, tape etc (most of which are purchased new). I will combine postage costs for multiple purchases.
