Aspects 1: General Sound Discrimination - Environment

 Listening Walks - Includes BIG EARS ready to print out, colour in and add to your own head bands ready for your listening walks. A4 Listening cards – showing items children can listen out for in the outdoor environment.

✔ Socks and Shakers - Flash cards for the children to hold up when they have identified items hidden in the socks or shakers

 Favourite Sounds – Picture cards to record the children’s favourite sounds. Allow them to place them in the order they like them best. Ask children to talk about sounds they don’t like – e.g barking dogs, thunder, crying babies, stormy weather, car horns etc
