Here we have a beautiful old Japanese Samurai Satsuma Scolars vase, from the early part of the 19th century I believe.
As any collector of Satsuma Ware will know, this is an extremely rare design, and far from the norm.
Beautifully painted and gilded, no damage at all, Lots of real age crazing.
low starting price. No Damage whatsoever.
slight firing flaw which I believe is a lump of gilding burnt onto the porcelain in firing. This just goes to show it's age.
