This is a RARE condition and recognisable part from a Junkers JU88 German bomber.This part is a complete airframe panel which still has rivets and rivet holes also has a lot of original paint and has a lot of original maker markings and part numbers and red painted markings we think done by German ground crew on it the section is very rare to get a complete panel like this one the panel is 11 inches by 5 inches in size.The part is from Ju88 bomber which was shot down on 13/8/40 and crashed at Sidlesham.The part is perfect for display or any collection.

German junkers ju88A-1 bomber of 8/lLG1
This plane was shot down by RAF hurricanes of NO257 squadron during attack on Andover. The plane crashed and exploded at Sidlesham at 4.35pm on the 13th August 1940.
Lt Zur See K W Brinkbaumer [of ku.fl.gr.806],gefr O.Roger,gefr J.Dietl and hptmn A.Scheuplein all killed the aircraft was a write off.
The crew were buried together in St Andrews churchyard at Tangmere were they remain to this day. Both promoted subsequent to their deaths the register records the ranks of Karl-Wilhelm Brinkbaumer and Alfons Scheuplein as oberlt and major respectively.
Decorations together with documents and photographs donated to the Tangmere military aviation museum by the family of the late Karl Wilhelm Brinkbaumer.A section of wing from the plane is also on display.
