The front of the card has an embossed green 43rd Erinpura Regiment emblem on, the inside front page has a quote stating “on land or sea where’er you be, may the best of luck E’et be with thee” on the opposite page there is a photograph of eleven of the leading British officers of the 43rd Erinpura Regiment, below this “Christmas 1909” is stated. ATHOS" and actually covers a large area of GREECE. The others are all dated 1916, and all five are stamped "A.G.OGILVIE" in the top margin.

WW1 (1918) British Army Map 100 DAYS OFFENSIVE Havrincourt etc (S.W. of CAMBRAI) - It's an interesting variation which would have been produced in much smaller numbers than a standard Sheet 57C, and it features many well known locations such as Le Transloy, Gouzeaucourt, Havrincourt Wood, Hermies, Flesquiere, Vraucourt, Ytres, Bertincourt, Graincourt-lez-Havrincourt etc.
WW1 (1917) 1:20,000 Scale British Map (SHEET 51A NW) - DENAIN, BOUCHAIN etc - DENAIN was a large German hospital centre for much of the war. Original WW1 (1917) British Map at a Scale of 1:20,000 (SHEET 51A NW). I will be working my way through the collection in due course. The back of the map is printed with a list of required ammunition and a number of half completed sentences allowing the officer to quickly communicate the ongoing battle situation.

It features an area where the CANAL DU NORD had been incorporated into the Hindenburg Line, and the trench corrections relate to the period in which the Germans gave up their existing frontline positions in order to retreat there.
WW1 (1918) British INTELLIGENCE MAP (WESTERN FRONT) CAMBRAI, MONS, SOMME, ARRAS - It gives an up to date record of this section of the Western Front, just a week after the Battle of Cambrai, as the War entered its final phase, and compares it to two earlier lines depicting the frontline as of 31st March 1918 and 18th September 1918.

It's a specially produced map (combining two regular sheets) and identifies many areas of interest behind enemy lines - specifically areas of activity which may indicate forthcoming enemy action or likely strength of resistance when in defence.
WW1 (1918) ARTILLERY POSITIONS MAP (HINDENBURG FRONTLINE) QUEANT, MOEUVRES etc - The map also shows Enemy Organisation details correct to 20/8/18. Interestingly, the "Approximate British Frontline" is shown correct to 5pm on 9/9/18 and reveals significant gains since the first printing of this edition (7b) with a large number of German trenches now behind the advanced British lines.

Intended for 3" Stokes Trench Mortar teams, these instructions include reconnaissance, handover procedures and the required duties and liaisons once in the trenches.

This one has no date but it has been printed on an April 1918 edition of the 51C SE sheet.

WW1 (1917) British 145th INF. HQ Stamped Map of ITALIAN FRONT "VOLPAGO - PAESE" - Officially marked with the HQ stamp of the 145th Infantry Brigade. Next to the official Italian details noted in the lower margin by the ' Istituto Geografico Militare', a French addition states that the map has been reproduced and printed by the French Army mapping services for exclusive use of the Army.

WW1 (1916) "CONFIDENTIAL" Italian Front Map (Cancelled & Re-used by the British) - Their subsequent cancellation stamp is a large green 'X' marked "ANNULLATO". I t appears that the blue numbered system of squaring may have been overprinted by the British, and there are a couple of subtle pencil additions just South of Sarcedo (see photos).

WW1 French Map "CHALONS" - EARLY WAR MAP - Whilst the map states it is a 1912 revision, I believe that it is actually a 1914 printing of a 1912 Revision as it states that it is an 'Edition provisoire - Reproduction rapide de la revision' - suggesting that it would have been in reaction to the outbreak of hostilities in August 1914.

WW1 French Map "Environs de BESANCON" - Early WW1 Map - The French managed to prevent the Germans from ever reaching this area, but due to its position in the mountains on the River Doubs it was still important logistically. The map is worn through in places from repeated folding.
WW1 French Map "MONTBELIARD" (Close to German & Swiss Borders) RAPID REVISION - A WW1 French map which relates to the very beginning of the war. This map is a 1913 'Rapid Revision' of an earlier 1841 French 'War Office' example. It covers an area close to the German and Swiss borders towards the Southern end of the 'Western Front'.

WW1 French Map "CHATILLON" (Shows Forts, Batteries and Munitions Shelters.) - This particular map entitled "CHATILLON" is an 1899 Revision and was probably printed later, most likely after the start of the war. Whilst this map doesn't carry a later date, it is the only one from this collection that has a key showing the locations of forts, (artillery) batteries and munitions shelters suggesting it relates to the period after the German invasion.
WW1 French Map "METZ" - ALSACE-LORRAINE - EARLY WAR MAP - Whilst the map states it is a 1912 revision, I believe that it is actually a 1914 printing of a 1912 Revision as it also states that it is an 'Edition provisoire - Reproduction rapide de la revision' - suggesting that it would have been in reaction to the outbreak of hostilities in August 1914.
WW1 (1918) Field Printed SOMME Map - GERMAN SPRING OFFENSIVE (Mametz Wood etc) - The original is essentially what would normally be known as a 'Special Sheet'. A very interesting DOUBLE SIDED British map, both sides of which have been printed in the field six months apart. Six months later, the reverse side has been printed with an 'up to the minute' depiction of the Allied Front Line as the Germans were being rapidly pushed back towards the Belgian border.

Takes the form of two columns - the first giving the conclusions reached following recent experience, and the second detailing the suggested actions required to prevent similar casualty levels.

The law removes the stain of dishonour with regards to executions on war records but it does not cancel out sentences.

1st Ukrain Front RARE RKKA 1944 USSR SOVIET SMERHNKVDKGB DOCUMENT ID PAPER - Externally, the fakes were almost identical to the originals, although the Red Army soldier was depicted not in boots, but in boots with windings on the Order of the Red Star. The chief of the created structure was appointed the commissioner of state security of 2nd rank Viktor Abakumov.
