By the Royal Mint these commemorate & celebrate the London 2012 Olympics. These are struck to brilliant uncirculated quality, a higher quality than the ones in general circulation. Attractively packaged in bright coloured hanging bags which are tamper evident sealed. The rear of every packet has a card showing the 29 sports with the one in the packet highlighted.

In January 2009, Royal Mint launched their biggest ever competition inviting the British public to design a series of 29 new 50p coins.

They received over 30,000 designs from all over the country, each depicting a sport from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

 

 

 

 Buy the official Collectors Album to display and keep your collection safe and sound. There is a list of the 29 sports & 29 specific sections to put each coin. There is also a 30th space for the final Completer Medal which is due for release during the summer of 2011. Don't forget to come back to me to buy this when it has been released.
