Beautiful Regency Rosewood Sarcophagus Antique Tea Caddy.
This superb early 19th century Large Regency Rosewood Sarcophagus Antique Tea Caddy dates from ca. 1830 and is of superb quality. It has a diamond shaped key hole with key and working lock and stands on brass bun feet topped with leaf decoration.
The interior has two removable tea compartments with bone knobs. The patina has aged to a warm Rosewood shade with a striking grain

CONDITION REPORT: Snapped hinge to the inside, repair to wood at the back of the hinge, see pictures. Handle to one of the compartments has been replaced all being some time ago. Some evidence of past woodworm, 9 in total but only on the bottom edge, see final picture. Prce however, reflects.
