Lovely late Georgian / early Victorian sarcophagus shape tea caddy, in original condition.
Three separate compartments, the two end ones having the original ebony inlaid lids with its original little nobs.
The middle compartment is lacking its mixing bowl.
Outside is veneered with a lovely warm well grained wood and is inlaid with satinwood. With original little brass hinges.
Standing on four little bun feet.
Lovely patina, that only comes with age.
Condition.
There is some satinwood inlay missing from one top edge and mitred top joint, and there has been a repair above the one of the hinges.
