A fine antique 19th century KPM style hand painted porcelain plaque depicting a child with a parrot.
The plaque gently convex, finely painted depicting a child with blonde curls wearing white robes and a corral bead necklace holding a tethered green parrot.
The has a penciled number to the reverse but is not marked however the piece is of comparable quality and style to those created in the KPM factory. The plaque is framed in decorative wood frame with gilt slip.
Overall frame size 28.5cm x 17cm. The plaque approximately 8.2cm x 6.5cm oval.
The portrait in overall good condition, some small marks to the surface including a small mark above the eyebrow and cheek of the child and a visible halo mark where the plaque has been mounted, however the overall image still clear and striking. The frame has two dents to the right back edge, a hole to the top from old suspension loop and some surface wear/ marks and loss to the gilt slip as expected with age however is in solid and decorative condition, the hanging loops stable and ready to hang. A nice striking picture which displays very well. Please see photographs for condition.
