Mercury RV has been established primarily as an importer and repairer of American Motorhomes/RV's, however due to customer requests we have also assisted with other European Motorhomes. We have a bodyshop with a 50 foot downdraught low bake oven which carries out many repairs on Motorhomes and horseboxes. This has been from the simple body repair to full scale re styling with new HID lighting etc. Our fully equipped workshop provides services to other dealers in both the Motorhome sector and the commercial sector, as such we are able to deal with MoT's inspections, simple fault diagnosis through to full rebuilds and upgrading.  If you have a need for an interior refit, we can re carpet your RV through to bespoke made interior fittings such as workstations and even fitted designer kitchens made to your specification and budget.  Our electrician can take care of any faults or upgrades you may require, together with the rebuilding of electrical components such as heater motors, starters and alternators.  We can also offer customers our fixed price servicing menu on either petrol or diesel powered motorhomes.

We can convert your Motorhome to full UK lighting specification that meets all current Construction & Use Regulations together with the 240/120 volt side of the conversion. We are also the ONLY UK supplier to provide converters that fully adjust the incoming supply to a regulated 120 volt and importantly 60 hertz not 50 hertz. One of the most common conversion we carry out is the installation of thin panel radiators which consume very little electricity, however they provide masses of heat output. The major benefit of these is the fact that you can stay warm whilst plugged into the campsite output so not using your own LPG and have the noise of the fan. In the pictures we have included some of a Safari we have recently converted for one of our customers, this now has FULL disabled living facilities which included such things as a wet room with special bespoke built bath/shower tub, hideaway wheelchair lift, tracking, new floors throughout to accomodate the use of an electric wheelchair, under cabinet dishwasher, tracking in the ceiling to allow the customer to access the bathroom from the bedroom without the use of the wheelchair, special beds and a whole host of other features to aid their new life on the road.  If you see Malcolm & Gina out on the road, give them a wave or a hoot, you will not see another else in the UK, their Safari Serengeti we supplied IS THE ONLY ONE in the UK, and they say they are loving it!!

 

With the closure of the Brownhills facility at Canterbury, we would welcome their customers to our facility for your servicing and maintenance needs be they American or European RV's.  We have in the past worked for Brownhills at their Canterbury location with problems with customers American Motorhomes, so if you have a problem, we would be pleased to try and assist and liase with Brownhills on your behalf to resolve matters for you and them.

We also have mobile service vans on the road 7 days a week if customers have a problem, we can often be found on campsites around the south of England carrying out repairs and are on call with the major ferry operators to assist with problems. Our charging policy is only to charge if we can repair or cure a fault for you, we also do not charge a set call out fee for the mobile service, we only charge for travelling time at our standard hourly rate of £48.00 per hour (WEF 22/10/010) for the shortest journey time.

If you are coming to our location for work, you will be welcome to stay with us on our site for the duration of the repairs, we can supply electrical hook up, toilet drop, water and WiFi is available. If you like the country and peace, you will love it, walk by the sea or visit the town, there is plenty to see and do nearby. We have a regular bus service from our door into the main towns, a direct fast train service into London Victoria and the Kent coast. If you need retail therapy, we have the UK's largest retail park at Bluewater near as well. To finish the travel options, you can also access the Eurostar within 25 mins and we have the new 145mph express trains running into London St Pancras. If you cannot get to us or would prefer a collection service, we would be happy to collect and deliver your Motorhome for you. 

We have a large selection of parts and accessories in stock from the smallest drapery item through to windshields and full air and water heating units, those parts we have not got from stock, we can obtain quickly if required from our Montana USA location. Our whole operation has always been based on customer service and satisfaction, we rely to a great degree on previous customers recommendation to obtain new customers, as such we perhaps have to try that bit harder than others to ensure everyone is pleased with what we do. It is a passion for us to do the best we can for customers, after all, you only get the one chance to make the first impression!!

This is the first time I have posted on any forum.Just had to report what a great service I had from a UK based company in Faversham Kent called Mercury arv. My Dometic 110 volt 3 way fridge freezer stopped cooling I called Dometic UK who do not deal with their American Counterpart how weird is that for a multinational Company instead farming me out to their independant company who were worse than useless.Whilst trolling through Ebay I came across this company Mercury arv who deal in all American rv parts.I ordered a cooling unit from them which had to come from the states.Ordered on Friday 25th.Arrived today the 29th at my house.If thats not great service what is? Reading this it souds like I work for them I DON'T . Its so rare to come across such a diligent and helpful company.So a big well done to them.

Sometimes Local is Best

 

With mileage approaching 30000 and with 12 months having passed since its last service our 5-year-old Dutch star was due for a wash and brush up.  In its early years it had been returned to the Midlands based supplying main dealer requiring  a small mortgage to pay for the routine items. This time around we sought somebody a little closer to home and after surfing the interweb came up with an independent dealer just an hour away from our home in Sussex.  We were at first a little dubious of using an outfit of which we had never heard of nor seen any advertisements for in the RV press but decided to book a service and a steam clean anyway as we were told we could stay and observe what was to be done.  As it turned out our concerns were completely unjustified, we were treated with old-fashioned courtesy and plain straight talking from two guys who knew their job.  So much so that Michele and I stayed on site for two nights as we decided that, as the chassis and underside of the RV were now clean and dry to have a coat of Dinitrol under seal applied.  Small problems were pointed out and rectified and it would appear from the date coding on some of the filters that this would be the first time they had been changed.  So much for previous dealers claiming and charging for the same!  The final surprise was the invoice, previously for a service we had seen amounts of more than £2000, this time around it was less than £850 and this included the steam clean/dry/Dinitrol under body treatment.  A spare can of Dinitrol was also handed over in case we needed to do any touch up!  We were so surprised that we actually questioned whether the oils themselves had been changed.  Oh yes it included all the fluids, grease and even non-stock filters for the generator, which was also serviced.  So no axe to grind other than a very satisfied customer, which is how this company is expanding their business, no flash adverts just word of mouth from happy clients.   

All aspects of repairs are covered and they also have a small fleet of vans that can come to you for the smaller jobs.  Simon, the owner, ran a coach and bus fleet in a previous life so is well used to larger vehicles and his mechanics have all the relevant experience.

We have supplied and delivered motorhomes to customers all over Europe and carried out all the importation and conversion for others.  All our sales vehicles come with a UK compliance MoT even if they are new, this saves you having trouble when your RV gets to 3 years old and you find it does not comply.  A recent addition to the MoT regulations has been the insistance on front lap & diagonal seat belts, as such we have developed a seat belt that complies with all the regulations especially for vehicles that were never meant to have them fitted from new due to no approved wall anchorage points.  Contact us on this or other matters, we CAN help!  Finally if you are unfortunate enough to suffer a breakdown and need recovery, we have added a recovery truck to our fleet to get you onto your destination or back to our base for repair.  It can handle up to 12 tonnes and your RV will be safely hauled onto its back for transportation.
