A Rare Natural Trumpet by John Webb in Yellow Brass Ornate Rose garland and trim. This is a rare and beautiful natural or clarino trumpet in D by the well-known maker,the late, John Webb, in Raw yellow brass with ornate rose brass garland,leadpipe mount,and pommel. These trumpets are traditionally played without holes or using the venting holes for certain notes. By removing the 5 hole covers as shown this trumpet can be played either way. Based in D it takes a baroque trumpet shank although I have included one of the adapters that allow the player to use a modern mouthpiece. There are only one or two small dings and the trumpet . By use of the slide and adapter it can play in high, modern or Baroque D This is an instrument of interest to original performance professionals and collectors alike . I know of very few of these for sale but they have been offered for well over my starting price. To the many watchers of this instrument- it will not be
further reduced in fact will increase in price if not sold on this
