Here on offer is an antique Pearsons of Chesterfield hot water bottle & bed warmer, dating to c1890.
The company was originally founded in 1810. Goods were marketed under various names mand manufactured for other people. This piece has an embossed that reads:

This great hot water bottle has been made using stone ware with a clear glaze over the body. The bottles were often called pigs as the handle resembles the snout of a pig. The bottle has a circular form a slightly flattened side. It has a screw in stopper with a rubber seal. The seal is original, but has perished.
The hot water bottle is being offered in good antique condition, it measures about 22cm by 10.5cm by 12cm and weighs 1435g.
